Event Description
Join thousands of your neighbors to demand collective action against global warming at the Step It Up Seattle All City march and rally in downtown Seattle. March: Starts at 2pm at Occidental Park, Seattle, goes north on Occidental Ave S, west on Yesler Way, north on Alaskan Way, end at Myrtle Edwards Park. Rally: Rally will begin at 4pm at Myrtle Edwards Park. ? Speakers include: King County Executive Ron Sims, Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels, Reverend Lisa Domke, and KC Golden of Climate Solutions ? Solutions Fair: ? Will be open until 6pm. Featuring sustainable businesses, organizations, activities, live music, and art.

Meet at Occidental Square at 2:00 PM an April 14. We will march down to the waterfront and then on to Myrtle Edwards Park.

The march departed Occidental Park. The sun shone upon us. The children carry our message in the lead - Step It Up Congress! Cut Carbon 80% by 2050!


Step It Up fills the Seattle waterfont with people, songs, and chants! Step It Up! Don't Give up! Carbon Down! In the ground!


It's Seattle, so it had to rain on at least some of our march. But we were undaunted!


Here in Salmon Nation, our iconic fish are always on our minds. They integrate our lives. If they fail, we fail. But we're not going to let them! Step It Up, Congress! Cut Carbon 80% by 2050!





The march leaves the street and head to the rally.

People of many faiths, and spiritual connection to our earth, from the Interfaith Creation Festival put a smile on our Blue Whale. We hope to see her in late May as we launch the festival and a year of action for care for all creation.


Is Reverend Rich Lang smiling because he's been mistaken for a polar bear? Whatever.. the march is reason for shouting and laughter!


Here's the real bear, with a looming tanker. The stories of bears - one of the best swimmers among land mammals - drowning miles from shore from lack of ice has broken many hearts. That and Katrina have been wakeup calls for what we owe the most vulnera
