Waltham Advocates for Climate Change Action
Waltham, MA
April 14, 2007 12:00PM to 03:00PM
Event Description:Hello Everyone.
A group of us students as well as Waltham community members have been coming together to plan a festive day of music, speeches and more on the Common in Waltham. The rally will go on from 12-3pm begining with a walk from both Moody Street and Brandeis University to the Waltham Common starting at 11:30. The Waltham group will meet at the Presbyterian Church of Waltham on 34 Alder St at 11:30. The Brandeis group will meet at the Shapiro Student Center at 11:15. We will all meet first on the Moody Street Bridge for a picture overlooking the historic mill that started the Industrial Revolution. We will then procede to the Commons for an afternoon of music and speeches. We especially want to extend beyond the reach of Brandeis to the concerned citizens of Waltham. Invited speakers include Senator Susan Fargo, Waltham Mayor Jeannette McCarthy, Brandeis Professor Eric Olson, and Bentley Professor Thom Davis. Music Includes The Phil Darosa Band, Jim Scott, and 'Sit Sparky'. If anyone wants to know any more information about the event, or wants to help feel free to email me at nscott14@yahoo.com or call at 508-654-8418.
Thanks,
Nathaniel Scott
