JOHN EDWARDS IS SPEAKING! Stop Climate Change Now!

April 14, 2007 01:00PM to 04:00PM

Hosted by Carol Newcomb-Jones

Event Description:

SENATOR JOHN EDWARDS IS CONFIRMED TO SPEAK AT OUR RALLY!! PLEASE JOIN US ON THE STEPS OF THE OLD LEE COUNTY COURTHOUSE ON MAIN STREET IN DOWNTOWN FORT MYERS FROM 1 to 4 P.M. ON SATURDAY, APRIL 14th.
There will be speakers, exhibits, and music. A photo of those attending will be taken gathered around our sign, "Step it Up Congress! Cut carbon emissions by 80% by 2050" and presented to Congress along with over 1,300 other rally photos taken throughout the country.
Because coal burning power plants are major contributers to climate changing greenhouse gasses, we will be addressing concerns about the proposed coal plant that may be built near Lake Okeechobee.

Location:
2120 Main Street
Directions:
Old Lee County Courthouse on the corner of Main Street and Monroe Street in downtown (the River District) Fort Myers. (County Commission Office Building)
