Event Description:

Portlanders will stage a parade along Fore Street, which will be the new waterfront of Portland under a 6 meter sea level change.

Following the parade, there will be speakers, music, and educational exhibits in Monument Square.

Location:
Convene at POST OFFICE PARK (where Exchange St. meets Middle St., one block east of the Nickelodeon Theater) between 10:30 and 11 am. We'll march through the Old Port and back up to Monument Square. We'll be in Monument Square all afternoon following the parade.

Directions:
Take a Metro bus to Monument Square; walk east through the Square past the One City Center office tower and across Temple Street; continue one block east on Middle Street to Post Office Park. You're more likely to find a self-assured SUV owner than you are to find a parking spot in this neighborhood, so do us all a favor and leave the tailpipes at home.
