Event Description:

The New Jersey Climate March will be led by hundreds if not thousands of students and New Jersey residents to ensure that dozens of legislators co-sponsor the Global Warming Response Act, which will mandate 20% reductions in greenhouse gas emissions below current levels by 2020 and 80% by 2050. The main march will begin at Rutgers-New Brunswick on April 13 and end with a large rally at Trenton on April 16. In addition, smaller marches and rallies will be held throughout the state at different campuses and cities in an effort to use the media to put pressure on the state legislature.
