Save New Orleans, Stop Global Warming

New Orleans, LA

April 13, 2007 05:30PM to 06:30PM

Hosted by Aaron Viles

Event Description:

"I Want To Be In That Number"

14 organizations, ranging from ACORN to the Sierra Club are collaborating to organize the national launch of "Step It Up" by holding our rally Friday, April 13th at 5:30pm on the Lower 9th Ward Levee in the Holy Cross Neighborhood.

Holy Cross is an area that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina, but is coming back greener and better than ever.

9 homes and the Holy Cross Community Center have recently benefited from solar panels donated by Sharp, and the Community is making plans to become climate neutral.

We'll be featuring music from the Soul Rebels, speakers, and attendees will receive a special 'step it up' edition "Save New Orleans - Stop Global Warming" bright red t-shirt for our photo on the levee!

So let us know you're coming and ask all your friends to attend as well

For our climate and our future,

Aaron Viles
