Music, inspiring speakers, Drumming, prayers, community art, love, tables with information on how to sign up for 100% renewable energy for your home, personal pledge cards to take home and a huge on site decorated banner that will go to our representatives demanding they take action to reduce carbon emissions by 80% by 2050.

Get inspired by Global warming!
A few months ago I got a newsletter from grist.org talking about a national
campaign to raise awareness of global warming and call on congress
to act now and reduce carbon emissions by 80% by 2050.
My curiosity was peaked so I checked out the campaign website at
stepitup2007.org , what I found was a group of people just like myself:
tired of feeling disenfranchised and desperate to do something to slow the impending climate changes.
For the first time in my life instead of feeling depressed and anxious about the environment I am inspired and excited about this unique window of opportunity that scientists talk about. It makes what we do now so much more significant, vital and tangible. We will see the results of our committment within the next 10-15 years!
I signed Ashland up for an event, and have since been joined by a group of inspiring, energetic and profoundly concerned folks.
Together we have created an event full of art, music, speakers and empowering information to help our community become part of the climate change solution.
Our rally will be downtown Ashland on April 14th in the Plaza from 12-2pm. We invite all community members to join us to get out of the funk of "it is all too much for me to fix!"
Together we can make a difference.
