AWAKE in the River Towns! Join the Blue Line!
Dobbs Ferry, NY
April 14, 2007 01:00PM to 04:00PM
Event Description:On April 14, the Sierra Club and others are organizing an event at the Dobbs Ferry Waterfront park to focus on climate change and the Hudson rivertowns. PLEASE GET INVOLVED! Our goal is to create a human chain -- "the blue line" to stress the rising water levels and potential storm surge damage that may occur as a result of climate change. At 2:00 we hope to have everyone lined up, wearing a BLUE t-SHIRT and holding up "the blue line" (which we will provide). Please participate and and help raise the awareness of our local politicians, media and fellow-citizens.
Location:
The event will be at the Waterfront Park in Dobbs Ferry (adjacent to the train station).
Directions:
The Waterfront Park is adjacent to the Dobbs Ferry train station. Parking is
available.

We gathered on the shores of the Hudson River to call on Congress to Step It Up

We signed the petition and got information about next steps.

The next generation cares a lot.

We formed a "Blue Line" to symbolize the storm surges that threaten our waterfront.
