Event Description:This is a gathering in the Carbondale community to 1. raise global warming awareness and 2. to send the message to congress: Cut Carbon 80% by 2050. There will be information on global warming and things you and your family can do to save energy; featuring a campaign by the Shawnee Sierra Club; live music by Broken Mirrors (classic rock) and Carter and Connelley (bluegrass); children's activities, and more.

on the corner of Rt. 51 North and West Main Street Carbondale, IL 62901
Directions:
From Marion: head west on 13, E. Main street, through Carbondale. Directly
after you cross the railroad track you'll see our gathering to your right at the
pavilion. Find parking and join us.
From Murphysboro: head east on 13, West Walnut Street, through Carbondale. Make
a left, heading north, on South Illinois Avenue (Rt. 51). Drive three blocks.
Where East Main street intersects with Illinois Avenue, you'll see our gathering
at the pavilion. Find parking and join us.
