Step it Up MSU!

Event Description:Now just days away, Step it Up is your chance to make a difference for your community, the nation and the world. Rain or shine, April 14th, 11:30am, Adams Field, visit MSU's campus to be a part of the National Day for Climate Action. East Lansing city mayor Sam Singh, and Lansing city Mayor Virg Bernero, will address the audience regarding local initiatives to curb carbon emissions. Additional speakers will also be on hand to provide tools to reducing your ecological footprint, as well as what actions you can take to influence local, state, and national governments.
At noon, everyone will gather for a picture to be sent to Congress to let them know that legislation for reductions in greenhouse gas emissions needs to be passed now. Plan on wearing green and white, and encourage others to come. This event is free and open to the public.
Also, there will be a CFL lightbulb exchange for the first 100 people to bring in 1 incandescent lightbulb.
