Event Description:

This April 14, we invite you to celebrate Earth Day with your friends & neighbors in letting Congress know that the time has come to Step It Up & Cut Carbon 80% by 2050. Join us in our pre-march on Lakewood City Hall for some coffee & donuts beginning at 12:00 noon. Please bring a stuffed polar bear, letter, pictures, sign or anything that represents global warming to you. You will also be asked to cast a symbolic vote by signing our petition addressed to congress that says the time has come to Step It Up & Cut Carbon 80% by 2050. At 2pm, everyone will march around the corner to city hall to drop items that you leave off on their doorstep. We promise it will be the shortest but most meaningful march since the civil rights movement.
