Event Description:

Contra Dance! Step Out to Step it Up at the American Legion Hall in Belfast. There will be an excellent band, "Bondeau Redux" and a whole ton of great people. Our mission? Dance our shoes off for the Planet (Step It Up), and take a great picture in front of the Banner!

There will be a Tasty Treat Pot luck, so bring your favorite dessert dish, and we'll probably take two photos- one after the community dance and one at the cool-down break of the main dance.

6:30 - Community Dance
Great for beginners and old hands alike. Learn the moves, meet new friends, and get warmed up for the maine event

7:15 - Step It Up 2007 Announcement and Photo. A little bit about Step It Up for the uninitiated, and a photo under the banner.

7:30 - Main Dance.
Break it down to Bondeaux Redux!

9-ish - Step It Up Announcement and Photo #2 for those who missed the first photo. We'll try not to have any doubles!

Belfast Balances, Swings and Steps it Up! 120 dancers gathered to dance to the cool tunes of Bondeaux Redux and gather in front of our big banner. The consensus was clear: Step it Up, Congress, cut carbon 80% by 2050!
