Over 20 environmental organizations from Rhode Island participated in Step it Up Providence including Youth United for Global Action and Awareness (YUGA),Save the Bay, Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA), Green Party RI and Clean Water Action. Also attending were Councilman Cliff Wood and Rhode Island State Senator Josh Miller.
Besides the many tables focusing on energy conservation, youth involvement, and water, there were numerous entertainment acts performing during the event. Representatives discussed their interest in Global warming in relation to their organizations. Overall, Step it Up providence reached many people and was a big succes!
