Despite predictions of a cold day, we had beautiful sunny weather. We had about 30 people attend, including people from other communities. A television station from Sioux City, Iowa sent a reporter. We had a reading of "The Lorax" and speakers, including our local state senator and the head of our local recycling center. A member of the local bicycling club was on hand to help people with bicycle maintenance. One of the University's Art classes created our BEAUTIFUL banner and created a "found art" piece using trash and found objects.
