Many people showed up to sign the petition as well as to participate in many activates. Kids had fun with games and face painting. People enjoyed cookies and lemonade while bands played music. There was information available to read about as well as a place to buy trees to plant.

It was great to see about 250 people turn out for Mt. Pleasant?s Step It Up 2007 Event, about 1/100 of the town?s population. An inspiring speaker focused people?s attention on the importance of getting to control global warming quickly and there was lots of practical information available for people to learn about ways to reduce their carbon footprint right away. There were games for kids, excellent bands and delicious cookies. It was impressive to see a big contingent of high school students, who helped to organize and run the event, and who participated actively. Together we can solve the problem of global warming.
