At the Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center, we held a press conference drawing attention to the 2 ft sea level rise predicted by 2100 under business as usual. We had 3 major local newspapers and the local tv news cover the event. A local Caltrans official, a wastewater treatment plant representative, a Eureka City Councilperson, and a representative of our State Senator all made statetments about the urgency of climate action.
