Step It up on the Circle

A group of more than 100 gathered on the cold, rainy steps of Monument Circle in the center of Indianapolis. Braving 39 degrees and rain, they cheered on speakers and the launch of the Indianapolis Climate Action Network.

"A wonderful thing happened as a result of this event" said Ed Cohen, event organizer. "Many people who are not
involved in any environmental group joined us at this event. That shows how deep the desire runs to see bold action taken now. They just needed an event
around which to rally."

A handfull of misguided fools stood around in the cold, thinking that mankind's actions are warming the globe. No one there seemed to be aware of global HISTORY. Let's see, there have been ice ages and "global warming" before we came out of the caves! Oh yeah, Greenland used to be GREEN, then things cooled down even more and now it's snow covered. Now that's climate change! One more thing to consider, the climate on Mars is warming along with Earth. Now I don't think any Leftists actually think that we have caused that.

Come on people, stop fretting about something that your SUV did not cause. Do a little reading and inform yourselves.

We braved the cold and sleet to show our support.

To previous author "Dave":
Carbon emissions effect the air you breathe genius. So it doesn't make a difference what you think about global warming, cutting emissions can and will improve your quality of life. Step It Up Dave, you're embarrassing yourself.

Follow-up--Taking Photos to Elected Officials:

Matt Shull and I first went to the offices of Cong. Julia Carson. We had a good meeting with one of her staff who seemed interested. He offered some
networking suggestions for the local level. He also said he'd contact on this matter in the future.

We then went to the offices of Senator Evan Bayh. No one could see us, we left the material with the front desk person.

We then wen to the offices of Senator Richard Lugar. We did get to speak with a staff person there. She was nice, but it did not feel like we had any impact.
