We were the first in the nation to have a news media event at the Hawaii State Capitol on Friday April 13, 2007 with 25 Interfaith leaders.
On Saturday April 14th we had a Teach In at the Church of the Crossroads on Climate Change then rallied with signs at Waikiki Beach, Hawaii. There were 70 at the Teach In and 20 at Waikiki Bech.

Environmental, community, and faith leaders gathered for an event featuring speakers and entertainment. Speakers from the Buddhist, Hawaiian, Christian, and Jewish perspective were represented. After the event, folks rallied on Waikiki beach and waved signs asking the world to "step it up" and reduce carbon emissions 80%. A news conference was also held at the Hawaii State Capitol to urge lawmakers to forward an enforceable limit on Hawaii's greenhouse gas emissions.
