Our rally was moved from the UVa Rotunda indoors because of rain. Still, about 150 people came--University students, families and people of all ages. We heard from a variety of local experts and leaders about how we can respond to climate change at the personal, local, state and federal levels. The crowd gathered for our picture at the Rotunda, and then walked about a mile and a half to Charlottesville's historic downtown, in a light rain. Due to the weather, Java Java coffeeshop agreed, on the morning of the event, to host what was going to be an outdoor performance by singer/songwriter Vienna Tang, who happened to be in Charlottesville on tour. Rally participants concluded their walk at the coffeeshop and enjoyed the show!

After we heard from speakers and took our pictures at the Rotunda, rally participants walked from UVa to Charlottesville's historic downtown. Here we are on the downtown mall.
