More than 200 people showed up in the rain (!!) for a family festival. We had great speakers, including Stanford Professor and IPCC author, Terry Root, on the ecological impacts of climate change. Speakers highlighted the need for local action, reporting on leading local government and business initiatives. And participants were inspired to take action in their communities and workplaces. To help folks reduce their carbon footprint at home, we launched at the festival, Acterra's Green @ Home program. In this program, volunteers make "house calls" to help folks reduce their energy use at home. Great music and entertainment was provided by Nancy Cassidy and The Raging Grannies. And 20 or so intrepid tablers were at the event helping people learn more about their environment. Images are forthcoming.

As part of the larger event, four Stanford students showed the Stanford Campus Climate Change Campaign's support for aggressive greenhouse gas emissions reductions at all levels.
