We actually met in WALTHAM, MA - a group of local clergy, members of faith communities, and city members and marched down Moody street (central street in city) to meet with a group of students from Brandeis University. We met on this bridge over the Charles River and took the photo in front of the factory and mill that mark the start of the Industrial Revolution. We then marched to the center of town carrying signs like STOP GLOBAL WARMING, and GOD CARES ? WE CARE, and CUT CARBON 80% by 2050 ? and had a wonderful rally with speakers and music. Our mayor, local city councilor, 2 professors from local universities, a Presbyterian minister, MassPirg, and Senator Susan Fargo all gave moving speeches. The day concluded with an Interfaith Prayer Service at First Parish Church of Waltham. There, we lit candles for the earth, and prayed for her future and healing. An incredibly moving day. PEACE ON EARTH!
