Fifty plus people attended the Environmental Vigil covering all corners of Watertown Square with their signs and enthusiasm. Except for the big banner, all the signs were home made - some on the spot. One family came with signs on the end of straws looking like flowers. There was a toy baby carriage with signs, sandwich boards, lots of heartfelt sentiments. The sun shone for the first time in a week. May be the only sunny day next week too. Is that a message?

Creative expressions of our group's concern included: green popsicles, a baby carriage with stuffed endangered animals; an earth flag worn as a sari; and many honking horns by people in cars sitting in the Watertown Square traffic.
