We gathered along heavily traveled Route 302 in Bridgton, Maine on the Moose Pond Causeway with Pleasant Mountain as a backdrop. People had signs in addition to our banner. Passing cars beeped their horns and gave us "thumbs up" signs. The weather was beautiful, and we enjoyed the opportunity to talk with neighbors and friends. Reporters from two local newspapers came for pictures and interviewed one fourth grade girl who had read about the event in the newspaper, had made her own sign and came with her father. She represented who this struggle is about!
