We gathered in the rain, dressed in all manner of water gear, 'floated' down the main street and back up to the Park. The object of the float was to educate the public regarding the high water mark and its effect on our town via the Petaluma River and San Pablo Bay sea raise if we do not cut carbon emmisions.

The weather couldn't have been better (slightly damp, intermittent drizzle, passing sunshine) for this march through the streets on Petaluma by a mass of wet-suits, paddles, a boat, fish nets, rain boots, and a giant "Cut Carbon 80%" banner at the front. People came out of shops, looked up from their lunches, and peered from their cars at this unusual, yet surprisingly awakening site....ended with a rally in the park with about 50 people and a number of elected officials.
