Iowa City Mayor Ross Wilburn signed the U.S. Mayor's Climate Protection Agreement prior to participating in a policy forum on global warming.

Iowa City Mayor Ross Wilburn signed the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement. Presented by Michael Carberry, chair of the Iowa City Sierra Club, the Mayor spoke about his belief in the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and what the city is currently doing. In attendance were the University of Iowa Environmental Coalition and the Iowa United Nations Association as well as members of the community and the press. Immediately following the signing, the Mayor participated in a policy forum on global warming
