10 UVM students traveled to Roel and Tini Boumans Farm in Charlotte. We had a delicious local breakfast of pancakes, jam, and maple syrup. We then took a tour of Windy Corners Farm learning about Roels re-foresting/carbon sequestration plans. We had a local foods lunch of corn chowder and zuchini bread and then did some work on the farm mending fences and moving organic matter. Finally we took our pictures, bid the baby goats goodbye and headed home.
