We met early in the morning at a local Sport Chalet parking lot in Los Angeles and carpooled in our hybrid vehicles including the Alpine Training Services Greasecar (only after passing out some useful information sheets on making personal changes to help the climate - thanks Step It Up!). After reaching the parking area atop Mount Baldy, we donned our technical gear for a windy and slighty chilly day of canyoneering. After some definite adventure hiking, we made our way down San Antonio Falls, rappelling off a total of six amazing waterfalls, some learning the sport for the very first time and others seasoned professionals. After finishing this adventure and enjoying our lunch at the bottom of the 100 footer, we unfurled our poster which lacked the word "congress" only because we wanted to encourage everyone out there to "step it up" for change. We had arrived that morning as mostly strangers, and we left that afternoon as friends bent on helping the earth and working to inspire those around us to make a change.
