A hike to the Hollywood Sign through one of Los Angeles' most beautiful parks. There are sycamores trees and humming birds, rattlesnakes and hawks. We were a mixed cross section of the community, with ages ranging from 6 months to 80 years.

We all hiked up to the hollywood sign and at the top had nice organic snacks that people brought. Took some pictures with the step it up banner in tow and the hollywood sign was in the background. A beautiful day to "step it up" for a good cause. Pictures to be uploaded from various photographers later.

We hiked up to the HOLLYWOOD sign, a sign of international recognition, to hoist a new internationally recognized sign as a voice to Congress calling for an 80% cut in carbon emissions by the year 2050. It is significant to have contributed to the largest day of action ever in the U.S. on climate change. The Associated Press was there. Our group consisted of nearly fifty people of all ages, countries & walks of life; representing the diversities of nationwide STEP IT UP activists and eco-friendly supporters.
