More than 100 attended an event at the Couthouse that put a human face on climate change and impacts from high-energy lifestyles. Speakers from 8 nations told what was happening in their homelands. The attendance was strong, by GB standards, esp. since local TV, radio and newspapers declined to publicize the event (despite repeated requests.)
More than 100 gathered on the steps of the courthouse in Green Bay for Step It Up 2007. Clock symbolizes time left to act.
Native of Nepal told Green Bay residents of the melting glaciers of the Himalayas. Rivers that water China and India are shrinking in flow. Natives of other lands hurt by climate change also spoke (Sri Lanka, India, Kazahkstan, Kenya).

From my vantage point, the event was very well put together for something that had been organized so quickly. It's exciting to think of what can be done next year with more than two weeks notice!
The Bicycle Ride for Climate Action, drew more than 20 bicyclists who rode through downtown Green Bay to the rally.
