At Bowdoin College, we had over 400 people, including hundreds of students and community members of all ages. Congressman Tom Allen spoke to the crowd, and we signed petitions for our representatives, gave out free tee-shirts, hosted a live band, and had facepainting and refreshments. We took our photo at a statue of our mascot the Polar Bear to show concern for the fate of our mascot. We then marched downtown to raise awareness. The event was really successful and people were excited to be there. This is only the beginning!!!
