Rain with snow in the forcast did not keep the hardy from coming to the Dayton International Peace Museum to see what all the talk on public radio, internet e-mail forwards, and calls from friends was about. They found more than a dozen exhibits cramed into a 6-car garage: T-shirt and banner making, solar cookies pre-baked at home but clearly demonstrating the power of the sun, along with wind generators and solar electric panels. Kids got to have their faces painted and pictures taken to put on cards declairing them Global Citizens. When the cards were crayoned & stamped with stickers from displays about the effects of global warming, they each were awarded a compact flourescent light bulb. All the vollunteers who worked so hard to put this educational event together were more than satisfied with the results of their efforts. The news media were out in force and letters will be written to congressmen. This will become a regular exhibit, maybe even a touring one. We all are excited by the opportuity to join in a national day of action. Thank You to the Organizing Team !!!
