Volunteers from Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN), www.chesapeakeclimate.org, the Network of Spiritual Progressives (NSP), www.nspmd.blogspot.com, and the Sierra Club, www.sierraclub.org/ joined together to ask citizens to sign CCAN postcards to Governor O'Malley, asking the Governor of MD to commit MD to a global warming solution (reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2020 - a 16% reduction in current emissions in MD).

One volunteer passed out CCAN postcards at her Sierra Club display, while several others took our postcards and clipboards up and down the busy shopping area in downtown Ellicott City and talked to 100's of folks and got lots of signatures for the Governor.

Afterward, The Well, www.ellicottcitywellness.com/, a wonderful yoga and healing arts studio, showed "An Inconvenient Truth" and had Step it Up and CCAN literature available. It was a very successful day involving Ellicott City residents in Global Warming Solutions!
