The Orange County Interfaith Coalition for the Environment (OCICE) hosted a Step it Up event in Huntington Beach, CA, with nearly 100 participants. We presented Mayor Gil Coerper with a Certificate of Appreciation for signing the Climate Protection Agreement on behalf of Huntington Beach, one of only 5 Orange County cities (out of 35) that have take steps to reduce their carbon footprint.
We then marched along the Pacific Coast Highway and spoke to on-lookers who wanted to know what the event was about. We received a great deal of positive feedback from beach goers.
