Great turnout for our combination of 3 local food themed events. We started off with speakers and performers at Washington Park, with a local food feast (thanks to Honest Weight Food Coop) and tables from 20+ local groups who co-sponsored the event. Children of all ages helped make giant vegetables, pollinators and signs (using recycled cardboard and paint) to decorate garden carts and to carry in our 2nd event-- a parade to the capital steps. The parade was huge and fun, with great homemade signs and banners and lots of people joining in along the way. At the capital steps, our 3rd event consisted of excellent speakers and singers, plus our big photo op-- right there on the capital steps. Lots more pictures showcasing smaller groups will be available on the hwfc.com website, but we're putting the big crowd up here.
