In spite of a rainy morning in Sonoma we had a hearty group that grew to approximately 60 people. We had lots of support from hundreds of passerbys as we were located at the main intersection in town. We also had the managing editor from one of our local papers there with his camera. By the end of our action the sun was shining and our group determined to continue to raise awarness about climate issues.
Thanks, Stepitup organizers for your great, inspired leadership to this wonderful campaign.

Sonoman's concerned about reducing fuel emissions and global warming stood in front of our historic City Hall, located in the main square, Sonoma Plaza with a call to Congress to STEP IT UP! and reduce gas emissions 80% by 2050. These brave folks wanting to make a difference, ranging in age from 5 to 85, were representives of families, professionals, retirees, Sonoma Valley High School Earth Club, the Sonoma Ecology Center, the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation, church groups, environmental movie makers, and more... ; stood in both rain and shine to send this important message to all who walked or drove by with many honking in support of the event. There was much discussion and excitment about Step it Up! along with the Sonoma Valley High School Earth Club's committment to following up with local and state governments to share photos and comments from the Sonoma Community.
