Event Description:
Join our "picnic with a purpose" for a day of fun, education and an opportunity to meet Raleigh community leaders to find out what you can do to take action to stop global warming. Join North Carolina Action Network (NC CAN)for a pot luck lunch that will bring together leaders from the civic, faith, youth, business,and peace & justice communities. We'll also send a message to our NC legislators to 'step it up' with our 'footprint' photo opportunity. See you there but don't forget to bring your lawn chair/blanket, a dish to share,and if you can wear a green or black t-shirt for photo op that would be great! The event is located in a beautiful park next to Falls Lake so kids, pets and 'hiking boots' are welcome. Join the local movement for change!
