Event Description:
We will celebrate the leadership of President Theodore Roosevelt, a champion for the environment. He embodied the type of Presidential Leadership we need to secure in the 2008 election to stop global warming.
* We will gather at Roosevelt's Inauguration Site and display signs and banners demanding that our new leaders cut carbon emissions and grow Green Jobs in support of renewable energy alternatives. Click on the Host's name, above, for a Photo of the meeting site.
* To draw more attention to our cause (and have more fun), we'll March from the Roosevelt site to the nearby monument honoring President William McKinley. Short talks will be given by invited speakers, and photos & videos taken at the Rally and March.
* See "Directions:", below, for a Map of the Meeting site and a Map of the March. Numerous action groups are partnering with these events, and other groups interested should contact the host.
* Please RSVP, below. Take action, even if you can't attend, by clicking the "Invite Leaders" button. Tell our Representatives to lead us out of the climate crisis by supporting renewable energy, green jobs and no new coal.
