Event Description:
Good Energy! An Event to Help Slow Global Warming will be held November 3, 2007 at Historic Findlay Market, 1801 Race Street, in Cincinnati, OH from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Event will include Solar-Powered Music by The 3 Green-Go's (aka Freestyle) & Random Acts of Hipness, and Solar-Powered Art by Alisha of the Warsaw Project Gallery. Ask questions you've always wanted to ask a licensed electrician and energy auditor but didn't want to have to pay to ask! If you're interested in Permaculture as a way of living more lightly on the land, stop by the booth and talk with Trish. Free Samples will be available of Sun Tea, food cooked and Apple Cider mulled in a Solar Oven. Stop by our booth for free brochures on energy conservation and solar and wind power. An informational DVD will be playing as well. Cynthia Brown, Outdoor & Farmers Market Manager at Findlay Market will present information on the benefits of buying local produce. Area Politicians have been invited to discuss their policies on the environment and their plans to fight global warming. (to be listed as they confirm.) Even if none of the politicians attend, we can still show them, via photos and sign-up sheets, that we care about environmental issues and expect them to Step It Up! From northbound I-75: Stay to right on bridge over Ohio River. At Ohio end of bridge, exit to Fifth Street. Turn left at the third traffic light onto Elm Street. Proceed twelve blocks to Findlay Market. From southbound I-471: Follow signs for I-71 north. Exit at Liberty Street. Turn right on Elm Street. Proceed two blocks to Findlay Market. From westbound Fort Washington Way: Follow signs to I-75 North Exit at Liberty Street/ Ezzard Charles Drive. Follow signs to Liberty Street. Turn right on Liberty Street. Turn left on Elm Street. Proceed two blocks to Findlay Market. By Metro Bus: Three Metro bus routes stop directly in front of Findlay Market on Elm and Race Streets: Bus 46, Bus 64, and Bus 78.
