Event Description:
The Northampton event will start with an interactive dance “convocation”, choreographed by Maureen Shea, followed by a postcard and letter-writing rally during which we hope to send over 300 messages to our elected officials and presidential candidates. There will also be speakers, singing and a group photo to be published on the Step It Up website. Speakers will include Rev. Margaret Bullitt-Jonas of Grace Episcopal Church, and Tina Clarke, campaign director for Massachusetts Clean Water Action. Singing will be led by Rev. Dr. Andrea Ayvazian of Haydenville Congregational Church. Political leaders are invited to share their plans and what they have done to date to reduce global warming.
