Lenox Town Hall Meeting with Congressman John Olver

Event Description:
The Berkshire County Step It Up forum will be at the Historic Lenox Town Hall. Concerned citizens and town leaders from all 32 towns in the county are being invited. Congressman John Olver (www.house.gov/olver/) will be the featured speaker. Olver is an active member of the House Climate Change Caucus, and he is the House cosponsor of the Climate Stewardship Act. He is also a former chemistry professor, and maintains a scientific interest in climate issues. He will discussion his view of the pros and cons of the various pieces of climate legislation, the likelihood of their passage, how his constituents can be helpful, and his take on the coming U.N meeting in Bali. State legislators have also been asked to address the meeting. The event is cosponsored by the Climate Crisis Coalition, the Lenox Environmental Committee, and other groups.
