Valley Forge - Be a Soldier for the Environment

Valley Forge, PA

November 3, 2007 01:00PM to 03:00PM

Hosted by BArbara Blynn

Event Description:
Soldiers for the environment unite! Today, we don't need soldiers for war, we need brave soldiers here at home, ready to work to stop global warming. Come to Valley Forge Park to raise awareness about this issue. Be inspired in a place where early colonial soldiers fought for Independence. We are fighting for Independence from oil, and looking for our modern-day George Washington who will unite our country and lead us in the fight against Global Warming. We will hike for about 1 hour. Please bring banners (they may not be on poles or sticks) and wear costumes of your favorite historic leader if you would like. Pictures will be taken and sent to Step It Up.
Location:
Valley Forge Historical Park 1400 N. Outer Line Drive King of Prussia, PA 19406
Directions:
Meet in the Lower Parking Lot by the Visitors Center. For directions to the Park go to www.nps.gov/vafo .
