Prairie Walk at Sneed Restoration

Event Description:
Come enjoy a guided stroll through Austin College's Sneed Prairie restoration site and hear experts briefly speak on global climate change issues. You'll have a chance to ask questions! Friends and family welcome! Refeshments will be served. Sponsored by Austin College Center for Environmental Studies and CORE (Citizens Organizing for Resources and Environment).

Directions:
Sneed Prairie is adjacent to Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge on Keyes Rd. From the intersection of Hwy 82 and Hwy 75 in Sherman, drive 9.7 miles west on Hwy 82 to Old Southmayd Rd. (Look for a sign indicating Hagerman Refuge to the north.) Turn north on Old Southmayd Rd. and continue 1.2 miles to Keyes Rd. Turn west. Sneed Prairie is 0.6 miles down Keyes Rd. on the south side. There is a sign at the gate. Please drive up to the tower area.
