County Hall Global Warming Protest

Hillsboro, OR

November 3, 2007 11:00PM to 02:00PM

Hosted by Nick Engelfried

Event Description:
Organized by students at Pacific University, this even will take place outside the Washington County Administrative Building in Hillsboro, Oregon. Our signs and banners will be asking the county Board of Commissioners to pass the US Cool Counties Climate Stabilization Declaration; this would commit the county to reducing emissions to 80% below current levels by the year 2050, as well as stating support for strong action against global warming by the federal government. Members of the Board of Commissioners will be invited to come and talk to us; but even if they don't come, we will broadcast our message to everyone visiting downtown Hillsboro.
Location:
155 N 1st Ave
Directions:
Main Street, Hillsboro Washington County Administrative Building
