From 10:00 to 3:30, approximately 300 people enjoyed live music by The Three Greengos (aka Freestyle) and Random Acts of Hipness while perusing a variety of booths.

Twenty people received free packs of Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs, and CFLs, faucet aerators, and a low-flow showerhead were displayed and discussed.

Ed Breedlove, a licensed Master Electrician and Energy Auditor, was on-hand to answer questions participants had, and read energy-saving tips between sets (he's also in the band, Freestyle).

Green Energy Ohio and Dovetail Solar & Wind were available to answer questions and provide information. Findlay Market had lots of info available, including flyers on the benefits of purchasing local foods, which fish are best to purchase, and the Step It Up checklist of actions to take and info sheet on global warming.

Door to Door Organics, a new business in Cincinnati, explained their goal of providing others with a model of a successful business with green ethics. Deliveries are made via vehicles using bio-diesel.

Herbs & Spice gave out samples of sun tea and provided Trish Breedlove with mulling spices which she used to flavor apple cider warmed in a solar oven.

Samples of cider and Moroccan Stew were handed out to participants, along with cake baked in the solar oven the previous day. Approximately 90 brochures about the solar oven were given out. Oh, and the cake was gone by 2:00!

Local news, WKRC-TV, covered the event on their sister station, WSTR, channel 64, at 10:00 p.m.

Warsaw Project Gallery showed luminous artwork by Lish. Abstract art layered with phosphorescent pigments charge in the light and reflect in darkness.

Collapsible bicycles were also displayed by a company from Covington, Kentucky. (Didn't catch their name - too busy talking about the solar oven)

Park + Vine, a local green store, demonstrated their products.

Findlay Market was a great venue and invited us to host another event next year, increasing it to two days! Photos will be available soon on their site, findlaymarket.org

The people we spoke with were all very interested in taking action in their lives to create positive change, and were talking about voting green!

Thanks to the Step It Up organizers for the opportunity to make a difference!

I was able to bring to event 14 people.
There where about 8 stands: 1 the organizer, 1 organic tea, 1 biking, 1 art that shine with the sun, 1 GEO (Green Energy Ohio), 1 organic food delivery service, 1 wind energy. There was a band playing. Was a wonderfull day and my friends had a lot of fun.
