We had a great time. wonderful weather with lots of potential energy (solar) keeping the beautiful fall day alive with good attitudes and concerned citizens.

Mayor Rocky Anderson spoke, headed up the event and even played guitar with students from the Paul Green School of Rock.

No, yes that's right, no council members attended from SLC even thought they where invited. Mayor of SL County Pete Carroon was in attendence, as where several council members.

300+ citizens attended the event. It was a successful event.

We ate cliff bars and tail mix and watched the dvd of changes for tommorrow. Just the guys at work but it was a start.

It was a really great community building, educational event. All the kids wrote to the politicians. We saw Kevin Shumway, who made his own electric car-awesome! Met the fabulous Utah Moms for Clean Air! Kids ate pancakes and spoke with our favorite politicians. Luke Garrott, Ralph Becker, and, of course, Rocky Anderson-all excellent leaders were there!

Lots of good info and computers set up to send messages to congress, etc. Wish it had been better attended!
The singing group was a young rock group and they were so loud that honestly, it was really, really difficult to have a conversation with anyone in the booths or anyone at all. And, it went on way too long. Not needed at such an event!
Also, it was from 9-11 and for a cold Saturday morning, probably not the best time to start. I realize people have lots of Sat activities, football games, etc., but I think the early morning time cut into the attendance. It was a beautiful fall day and had it been later in the day, I think it may have been better attended.
Someone else will be better able to estimate the attendance than I.

We had an awesome pancake breakfast while listening to the School of Rock play live. Later on we got to listen to Rocky and others describe why we should be paying attention and becoming active in this fight. We were repeatedly encouraged to use the computers provided there to email our legislators, which my group all made sure to do. We also saw Rocky participate and use the computers provided to contact his legislators.

We had lots of interesting booths related to the topic of environmental protection.

We got to listen to Rocky join in singing with The School of Rock, and had a couple of performances by "Pom Poms Not Bomb Bombs".

My favorite part was the "Love Notes to the Earth" booth, where we decorated pieces of canvass with our promise of what we would do to help our planet.
