Our group met at the Sneed Prairie Restoration Site, near Sherman, TX. The event was co-sponsored by the Austin College Center for Environmental Studies and CORE (Citizens Organizing for Resources and Environment), a local environmental group. Speakers discussed the goals of the 1 Sky plan and various aspects of global climate change, including the benefits of natural areas. Much of the program was devoted to taking questions from the audience. After the program there were guided tours of the prairie restoration project and of the green environmental education pavilion as well as the opportunity for people to hike the prairie.
