We had a potluck and some local musicians came out and played music.
I set up a table with info about what people can do to stop Global Warming and collected signatures for Project HotSeat and for Step It Up 2007. I gave out compact florescent light bulbs that were donated by the city of Tallahassee, and Pat from Tallahassee's commuter services came out and gave away cloth shopping bags, blinking lights that say Green means Go, and pamphlets on ways to make better commuter choices.
Bill Nelson's statement was read, and we all enjoyed hearing about the actions he is taking to make our country more sustainable.
Then we all painted the banner together and held it up and took pictures.
It was a fun day, and many people said that they wish we had events like this once a month, so a few of us decided to plan events like this for the future.
