I have to make this short but in a nutshell. we powered an entire rock band, sound and lights with human power for 2 hours.We started out with 7 bikes on the main floor and 1 bike on the loft.The one on the loft powered a seperate light show by itself.The seven on the floor powered the show sound and lights.After one breakdown we pulled it off with just six bikes. We made all local T.V. and print news by sunday by monday we hit goodmorning america by wednsday we went international with a nice spot on the B.B.C.international news. The positive responce is just pouring in.I hope to get you a full press package with pictures and video as soon as posible.I am excepting dates to power differant enviromental events around the country. I had to check this out because it was less than a mile from me. Should've arrived earlier because the barn was packed! The whole place was cleaned up very well with the former milking parlor below the barn's main floor serving as overflow with tables, food and video screen of the concert.
I would've liked to try one of the bikes but movement was tight and I barely got past the inside of the door. Watching the riders pedal was not unlike watching someone dance to the music. One gal was pedaling so vigorously from a standing position that it looked like she was dancing!
A very interesting experiment.
